2016 Fall Fest

Fall Fest at Thomaston Grammar School

The annual Fall Fest was held at Thomaston Grammar School on Saturday, November 5th.  It was sponsored by the Friends and Family of Thomaston Grammar School group.  It was a fun event for families and there was a great turnout.  Students and their family members were able to take a horse drawn carriage ride from TGS to OMS and back again.  They were able to tour a Coast Guard boat with members of the Coast Guard on site to lead them through the tour.  Outside they were also able to have a photo taken by Principal Riley in the Fall Photo Booth and take part in an outdoor obstacle course.  Inside students were able to have their face painted, get a snack, make multiple crafts, and purchase items at a bake sale.  There were many volunteers, including students from Oceanside, staff members from TGS, and parents of TGS students.  The event was a great one for the school community.  As students visited stations, they had their cards punched.  Completed punch cards could be turned in to try to win a donated door prize for their family.  Thank you to the following local businesses/organizations for their generous donations: The Prison Showroom, Thomaston Grocery, Paint It Shore Self, The Thomaston Yoga Studio, Athens, Lowe's, The First, and Lifeflight of Maine. Thank you to the Coast Guard for sending their boat and members of the Coast Guard.  Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers.
