Mrs. Hatch

Meet Mrs. Hatch

Tell me about yourself.

The first thing you should know about me is that I am incredibly excited to serve the students of RSU #13. I was born and raised in the MidCoast and am a 2003 graduate of MSAD 5.  Along the path to graduation, K-12, I was lucky enough to have interactions with all my school counselors, who were instrumental in guaranteeing my success in school. Knowing I had an interest in mental health, I attended the University of Maine at Orono, and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Psychology. I furthered my education and received my Masters of Education, with concentrations in both Counselor Education and Mental Health Counseling, in 2010. You can find more about me and the services I offer on my website!

Why do you like guidance counseling?

Elementary aged students are so much fun! I love their energy and excitement. I like helping them work through tough experiences as well as helping them develop coping skills that will allow them to grow into mindful adults.

What are your favorite student units?

I like team building units and anything that uses art to explore emotions.

What is your plan for parent contact?
