Summer 2011
Dear Upcoming Fifth Grader & Parents/Guardians:
We are very much looking forward to seeing you on the first day of school! Below is a list of items that you will need in the fifth grade.
*colored pencils
*scissors
*#2 pencils (not mechanical)
*cap erasers
*washable markers
*photos, stickers, die cuts, etc. to decorate folders the first week of school
*pens – blue or black ink
*glue sticks
*gloves for gardening (our Expeditionary Learning project in the spring)
*pencil box to store in homeroom cubbie
*2 single subject notebooks
*plastic protractor
In addition to the list above, we could also use classroom donations of tissues. We tend to go through a lot of tissues.
It would be helpful for your student to have a daily planner. These planners along with a free choice reading book are very important at TGS.
We hope that you have a great summer vacation and we will be ready and waiting for your arrival on August 30th!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Pavalkis & Mrs. Snow
