         Tell us about yourself

I graduated from Lyndon State College in Vermont in 1991 with a B.S. in Physical Education. I have been teaching since 1991. I started out Teaching Alternative Education at Mount Desert Island High School. I taught K-8 Physical Education in Windsor for 6 years. I taught K-8 Health and Physical Education and 7th & 8th grade Math at Wales Central School for 7 years. This is my 6th year at Thomaston Grammar School. I also teach grades 3-5 at Owls Head Central School. I got married over summer to a woman who teaches in a K-2 Life Skills program in RSU #4. I Love the outdoors. I enjoy hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising the many animals that I have on my farm.

Why do you Teach Physical Education and Health?

When I was in High School, I spent my senior year job shadowing my Physical Education Teacher. This was what got me interested in becoming a Physical Educator. I enjoy the daily interaction with the students in the classroom and gymnasium. I look forward to coming to school everyday because each day is a new adventure.

What are your favorite units to Teach?

I enjoy teaching all aspects of Health and Physical Education. One unit I am excited about teaching this year is Archery. This is the first year I have taught it at TGS.

What is my Parent contact plan?

I am available to meet or talk with parents on Monday or Friday mornings before school. I am also available to meet or talk with parents after school on most days. Email is also a great way to touch base on your child

            What are my homework guidelines?

Homework is rarely assigned in Health. Homework is due the following class. I will accept late homework.
