Teamwork Assembly
Several students at Thomaston Grammar School were recognized for their teamwork at a school wide assembly on March 22nd. Students receiving the Teamwork Award were: Trenton Adams, Hadley Hatch, Seth Beckett, Norah Smith, Alden Wakem, Jordyn McDonald, Mio Thompson, Callie Colson, Coral Rytky, Aubrey Couch, Alora Stewart, Lynell Gendron, and Aiden Linscott.
In many situations in the classroom or on the playground, these students are the ones who see that everyone works together as a team. They think of the group rather than themselves. When working with a partner or completing a group project these students are the ones who make it clear that differences should be left behind, and everyone should work toward a common goal. They see to it that collaboration, compromise, and cooperation are keys to teamwork.
Alden Wakem was also presented with the Principal’s Award. Alden is a marvelous member of the Thomaston Grammar School community. He is a ray of sunshine. He lights up any room he enters with his amazing smile and positive outlook. Alden quietly and consistently does the right thing. He is safe, kind, and tries his best always. He exemplifies what it means to be an excellent member of our amazing school community.
