Teamwork Assembly
Several students at Thomaston Grammar School were recognized for their teamwork at a school wide assembly on March 9th. Students receiving the Teamwork Award were: Trevor Campbell, Andrew Smith, Ella Hamlin, Essie Ross, Evelyn Curtis, Seth Beckett, Evelyn Robertson, Ray Gardner, Evelyn Fairfield, Oliver Quinn, Ben Brown, Calvin Chamberlin, and Zoey Hendron.
In many situations in the classroom or on the playground, these students are the ones who see that everyone works together as a team. They think of the group rather than themselves. When working with a partner or completing a group project these students are the ones who make it clear that differences should be left behind, and everyone should work toward a common goal. They see to it that collaboration, compromise, and cooperation are keys to teamwork.
Aria Hoose was also presented with the Principal’s Award. Aria is a fabulous member of the Thomaston Grammar School community. She is known as someone who cares about her peers and the staff members at TGS. She is always respectful and kind in her interactions with others. She always has a positive attitude and works to help the people around her to feel happy and cared about. She consistently makes the choice to do what is right. Her teachers are impressed with her excellent work ethic and perseverance in all that she does.
