Friendship Awards at Thomaston Grammar School
Several students were recognized for the attribute of Friendship at an assembly on Friday, February 5th. Students receiving this award included: Lila Haskell, Ethan Black, Seth Beckett, David Alvarez, Shawn King, Quinn Catapano-Kangas, Malcolm Brown, Preston Fish, Braelyn Porter, Vincent Frisone, Brayden LaBreck, Ashton Rice, and Marilyn Holom.
An unknown author wrote the following: “Good friends are like stars. You don’t see them, but you know they’re always there for you.” The students who were recognized are true friends because they listen and support others. They are selfless and make time for peers no matter the situation, big or small. They give a helping hand with projects or are there to be a listening ear when someone is upset. They are the ones to talk to when something is bothering a peer because they give good calming advice. They look out for others, wanting them to do their best, and they are excited when others excel.
Preston Fish was also presented with the Principal’s Award. Preston is a student who exemplifies the many core values that we focus on here at Thomaston Grammar School. He cares about his fellow Thomaston Grammar School community members. He is accepting, respectful, trustworthy, honest, and so much more. He shows compassion and gratitude. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to others who are in need, often without being asked to do so. We are lucky to have Preston as a member of the Thomaston Grammar School community.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards this month!
