Thomaston Grammar School Field Day
Thomaston Grammar School held field day on Friday, June 11th. It was a perfect day to be outside. The event was pirate themed and each student received a patch and bandana, along with a unique pirate name for the day. They were also greeted with pirate themed music outside and decorations in the lobby. Kindergarten through second grade students participated in events in the morning and third through fifth grade students participated in events in the afternoon. Students participated in Pin the Patch on the Pirate, a game much like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Then they went through a difficult Obstacle Course, battling with the opposing team to fill the bucket with water first. They then played Sink the Ship, a competitive hockey inspired game to sink the pirate ship of their opponent. Next they competed in Ring Toss where they had to throw rings onto their opponents’ pool noodle pirate swords. Next, students completed a Treasure Hunt where the treasure at the end was some sparkly pirate themed tattoos for all. The final station was Green Screen Pictures and a Snack. Students has pirate themed photos taken of them a were able to feast on Pirate’s Booty, freezer pops and water. All staff and students were involved. A fun time was had by all!
